I have solar (fake) salon nails. whats the best way to take them off besides going back to the salon???

They sell artificial nail remover at the stores. You have to do ALOT of work to get them off but eventually they come off.

You soak your hands for like 15 min. then using like 5 emery boards file the A.N. off.I have solar (fake) salon nails. whats the best way to take them off besides going back to the salon???
i was just in Target tonight and saw a box that was a kit for removing artificial nails in the cosmetics section. i believe that you can buy pure acetone from sally beauty supply if you have one near you and you just soak them for a long time and then melt off. try not to get impatient and use tools to pry them off because they will damage your own nails. you should plan on giving your self a great manicure or just going out for a professional one to make them look better as you are starting to grown your own out / get them restored and healthy again. good luck !I have solar (fake) salon nails. whats the best way to take them off besides going back to the salon???
well i usually wait like 2 weeks...and then i have to like dig underneath them to get them off...it hurts but it works-ha and it cant be too good for ur nails...umm but for like nails that u just buy in stores they say just use finger nail polish remover and like soak your fingers in it...but i havent tried that, so i wouldnt know if it works....but its pretty easy to try..so i would start with that! :)
Soak them in acetone.
soak them in acetone and they'll come off. it'll take a while though.
Get a little shot glass, put some acetone polish remover in it, put your finger in it and let it soak for a while. It will soften the acrylic then with a medium corse file, file the softened acrylic off a little at a time, then soak it some more and repeat the filing but don't file all the way down to your real nail or it will damage it. Don't file across the nail, file in a downward motion away from your finger tip. It takes a while but it works. When you're finished use a good lotion on your fingers.
wow... my dad fixes up nail salons so i know the answer.

soak them in water for a while...they'll be easier to remove
soak them in nail polish remover for a few minutes, it'll melt them and get really soft, then you can just pull it off [gently].
soak them in acetone
