How do you take off solar nails?

i have solar nails but want a refill i just want to take hem off how do i w/o going to the nail salonHow do you take off solar nails?
You can do this easily at home. Personally, I would recommend going to a good salon to have them removed by soaking them off. But many salons, especially the NSS (non-standard salons, or discount salons) don't have a clue as to how to properly remove nails. They will most often use a pair of cuticle nippers and simply cut away at them, then yank them off of your nail. That causes damage to your natural nail.

Note: The following procedure will work in about twenty minutes or so, unless you had them done at a discount salon who used a chemical called MMA. In that case, it could take upwards of 2 hours to do. MMA is NOT good for use on nails. Many discount salons use it because its very cheap, and also because they simply do not care about you and your health, they just want you to get out the door as fast as possible so they can get another person in the chair.

BTW, the term solar nails is most often used by NSS's. It is not properly used in most cases. It refers to pink %26amp; white nails. I won't go into the long story about it, but SolarNail is an acrylic nail line by a company called Creative Nail Design. They make top quality nail products, to include acrylics. But if you went to an NSS, chances are that they did not use products from CND, but rather cheap substitutes. It is always best to avoid these types of places.

Removing acrylic nails:

Simple. Take some cuticle oil, or hand lotion and place a tiny bit on your cuticles - avoiding the nail itself - just lightly coat the skin by the cuticle area to keep it from drying out from the acetone. Take a small cotton ball and soak it with pure acetone. Place the cotton ball over the nail so that it covers it completely (don't make the cotton ball TOO wet). Then take a square piece of aluminum foil (about 4 inches by 4 inches) and place that over the end of the finger and bunch it up over the cotton ball, so that it forms a covering over it and keeps it in place kind of tightly. Do this to each of your 10 fingers. Once that is done, simply wait 20-30 minutes and you are ready to begin the removal process. First, get a orange stick, or even better, a cuticle pusher. Then take of only one foil with the cotton from one finger only. Only do one at a time because of not, the acrylic will harden back up in minutes. So, after removing the foil and cotton, gently scrape the acrylic off of the nqail using the orange stick. It should come off easily. And then repeat with each of the remaining nails, one at a time only. If you find that some acrylic still remains, resoak the finger for a little while more, then try again. But remember, if MMA was used, you will know immediately because soaking them for 20-30 minutes will do nothing to soften them, and therefore you will not be able to remove any of it after soaking them. It will take at least two hours if this is the case.

The other method, though this tends to overexpose your skin to acetone,a dn possibly dry it out a bit is to pour pure acetone into a small bowl or other container, and dip your fingers into it. Wait 20-30 minutes. You should see the acrylic literally dissolving off of your nails. WHat is left on them after the time is up, just use the orange stick and gently scrape the rest off.

Whatever you do, don't pull them off in any way, don't bite them off or anything else. Soak them off. This is the proper way.

AND DO NOT SMOKE OR HAVE OPEN FLAMES/SPARKS NEAR THE ACETONE BECAUSE IT IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE!!!How do you take off solar nails?
I don't reccomend doing that. Just go to the salon and get a refill. Why do want them off? If you REALLY want them off, take you finger and bite on the sides of your nail. It should pop off...
dip them in acetone for a while then peel them off.
