Hey i was just wondering what you think is better acrylic nails nail tips or solar nails oh yeah and gel nail?

I get solar nails done, I believe they are harder to break and they last longer. At least that's my personal experience with them.Hey i was just wondering what you think is better acrylic nails nail tips or solar nails oh yeah and gel nail?
I never heard of solar nails. And out of the other two acrylic is stronger. Silk is the strongest but more expensive. Either way they all ruin your nail bed eventually. But I know how it is to want long nails because I love them. Start looking at women's nails you see around and ask them where they got their nails done. I never walk into a nail salon to get my nails down unless I have seen their work on someone else first.Hey i was just wondering what you think is better acrylic nails nail tips or solar nails oh yeah and gel nail?
Solar nails is line of acrylic by Creative Nail Design. I personally only use Creative Nail Design acrylic products because I feel they are the best on the market.

Gel, acrylic, wraps are all types of nail enhancements. One is no worse for your nails than the other. What causes the damage is the nail tech. If you are going to a reputable nail tech, then the damage should be minimal. The nail tech will help you decide what product is best for you and your lifestyle.
Solar nails are way better...you don't have to get them polished so there is no chipping of the nail polish which makes a huge difference.

They don't turn yellow if you tan, or really even if you smoke like the other nails do.

I've had solar nails for years and I love them!

Good luck.

I have been getting the typical acrylic nail with the spray tips, are the solar nails worth getting?

I have always wondered what they were and how they are applied. I'm the type of person that hates change but with the nails I have now they pull away from my real nails. I just want to know if getting rid of the acrylic nails and getting the solar nails is a good idea??I have been getting the typical acrylic nail with the spray tips, are the solar nails worth getting?
Solar and acrylic are exactly the same thing. ';Solar'; is from Creative Nail Design (CND) and is a name of their monomer/powder, not a specific type of nails.

Some salons seem to be marketing ';Solar'; for what are actually just pink and white acrylics. There is no difference.

Hope that helpsI have been getting the typical acrylic nail with the spray tips, are the solar nails worth getting?
solar nails are for people that use tanning beds. so if you dont tan, they arent worth the money. they dont turn yellow in the tanning bed like regular acrylic nails do.

Can you use nail polish on solar nails?

I like color sometimes and was wondering if it hurts the solar nails to polish them if I use a non-acetone remover on them? Thanks. Can you use nail polish on solar nails?
    what is a solar nail?

if it is like an acrylic nail, than yeah, it is perfectly fine. Can you use nail polish on solar nails?
As long as you use non-acetone remover, it'll be fine.

Btw, ';solar nails'; is the same as acrylic nails. It's a brand of acrylic sold by Creative Nail Design. Salons call them ';solar nails'; to give you the illusion that you're getting something different, but it's just a way for them to charge more money.

How do I give my solar nails their shine back without going back to the nail salon?

I just got them done two days ago, and it seems like they are dull and scratched already. is there any quick and easy way I can get them glossy again without going back to the nail salon? And what exactly do I need? How do I give my solar nails their shine back without going back to the nail salon?
professionally speaking if they are dull already then to me it doesnt sound like the tech put a top coat on your nails...sounds like they just buffed them to a high shine.... if you want that shiney look then i would suggest getting a 3 way buffer(from sally's, wal-mart, or cvs) and use all three sides to buff your nails back to that high shine, or purchase a really good glossy top coat, but remember if you do go the buffer route then just remember that you will need to do this everytime your hand hits water(that's what dulls them when they are only buffed)hth
